Yes, those (also done for Greenland) were made when somebody subtracted ice thickness from ice surface elevation. Gush, in flows the ocean. :eek:
 
Nobody explored the "entire world" first...it was, as I understand it, the collection of hundreds of years of information from different civilizations. Why sacrifice your own men when you have the information readily availible?
 
Never stargate, but worldgate i like to observe. Yeah those maps are freaky. Antarctica is mapped as before the last Ice Age. And modern seismic/ sonar explorations have confirmed the general map features!:enlighten These maps have existed in collective history since several hundreds of years ago (and potentially for thousands before that! :jesus: ) Nobody had access to any known technology even in 1850 which could have known what was under the ice....:confused:
