I would be interested to know your opinion about who is the best AI country.

Not the best country to play for the human player, but the AI country who usually gets the highest score.

I'm not myself sure, but I think India could be the answer.

Germany, it's very aggressive and warlike thus likes to conquers other nations=very successful.

It all depends on the map settings. For example, if you have an expansionist civ on a pangea, then they will do better than if it was archipelago. Same goes for militaristic. If you don't have many borders with other civs, then it won't be as easy for war. However, there are some civs that always seem to do good because their traits are flexible. These are civs such as China, France, Persians, and Maya and Sumeria (Conquests expansion). There are more, those are just the ones that I usually come across..

Persia! X-man is the only one to have any kind of air about him that just makes him an industrial age monster!

Sumeria. Absolutely always, as long as they have fresh water. Aztecs, Mayans,Hittites and Mongols are the runner-ups; EXP and AGR are simply the best AT traits (IND is fine as well, REL/COM/MIL/SCI pointless above Monarch, and SEA is wasted).

Germany??? About the worst non-SEA Civ; their aggressivity kills them nearly always.

Inca and Persia. Persia is aggressive, but not so aggressive that they get carried away with it. The Inca expand very fast early on and it's hard to catch up to them.

Persia and Egypt always seem to do well against me...

Zululand, Mongols, Germany, and Aztecs are a MAJOR threat if played on Pangea with goody huts due to their aggresive behavior.
Sumeria, Mayans, Incas, and Celts always generate tremendous amount of culture rate and grows too fast.

I personnally play peaceful games on archipelago maps with max water, and I'm feeling a bit lonely on this forum, because most threads seem to be biased by a general preference for warmongering.

With my settings, Sumeria is hardly ever a challenging opponent. But I generally have much more trouble with the Dutch, the English, Spain or even Carthage. Expansionistic tribes fail miserably because there is little room to expand and few goody huts. Same for militaristic ones when they have noone to conquer.

The Dutch are usually monsters in my games.

i find England always the pest in my game even though they don't expand the best but others are Germany, Russia, Zululand, and Persia

my "priority" civs (the ones i take out first when given the chance are

1.persia (i can beat techs out of them when they have 1 or 2 citys left for a looooong time)
2.germany (one of the only nations that frequently gains territory in a war with me)
3.aztecs (very very annoying)
4.babylonians (prevents that 100k culture victory, that almost always happens just as i'm about to win :/ )
5.zulu (very agressive, usually crap in technology compaired to others but they almost always have a HUGE arse military)

In general those agriculoture civs. AI handles them pretty well and they tend to run away. Like Sumeria.

And then civs with higher aggression. They tend to prepare well for wars and take out peaceful neighbors and grow big. Like Germany.

I notice Hitties tend to grow big too. Don't know the reason.
