Who want's to be a Civillionaire?

It would help if the person who asked the question knew the answer! :p

I'm amenable to the idea, Og, but you should kill this thread and start a new one.

May I also suggest that if someone comes up with a more-correct answer AFTER the right one has already been scored, then the scores need to be changed. Frex, the above use of Dye (or any undeveloped Commerce-giving resource) seems to me like it should invalidate previously declared-correct answers.

And darn it, I forgot about the 8 Coins from the Palace, making 212. BUT WAIT! If we're in Bureaucracy, it gets multiplied by 50%, making a total of 318! So I can still claim that one! Woo hoo! oh wait, can't have Bur with Free Speech. Okay, 212-40=172, x1.5=258.

258 Coins! I win! :woohoo: :deadhorse:

Oh, and now I'm getting 111 Units. Seems my list was missing one: Mobile SAM.

Oasis food 3 commerce 2.

Q. Which civs have fictitious unique units?
I'm gonna say Fast Worker, Panzer, and Phalanx

The first is already discussed.
Panzer is simply the German word for "Tank", so it's not an actual unit.
Phalanx is a formation. They should've kept Hoplite as the Greek UU.

What is the maximum number of free Specialists you can have (specified or unspecified) in a single city without use of Events or National Park? (Super-Specialists don't count.)

Panzer is a short form of panzerkampfwagen, and can be translated as "tank".
It doesn't refer to a specific vehicle, but neith does "tank" or "Modern Armour".

If I had to guess I would go with Quechua, which was simply the language of the Incas.

Your suggestions are good, I agree with you. I'll start a new thread and close this (if I'm able to do this, never done that before as I'm relatively new to this forum, but I'll try;)).

And, btw, the original question was about the amount of non-combat units in the game ;)

No sorry according to the civilopedia the only made up invented units are oromo warriors and vultures and i suppose the fast worker.

The maximum number of free specialists in a city are 4. play the french and get a free specialist from your salon, run mercatilsm, built statue of liberty and build a industrial park.

Doesn't the Russian UB allow 2 scientists (beating salon)? Also, I don't know if it is possible to get merc of SoL without obsoleting the GL and the wonder that grants a priest.

I am pretty sure you can't get Research Institute without Sci Meth, so we go back to the Salon.

But I think you can avoid it for Merc and SoL.
This makes the max:
Great Library: 2
Temple of Artemis: 1
Mercantalism: 1
Statue of Liberty: 1
Salon: 1
Making 6.
