Im gona to make an Italian civ but I dont know what leader I should create. Any Suggestions? If you have any pictures of your suggestions it would be help if you post them :).

Also, what would be a good UU?

Depends on when you are putting the Italian UU time-wise. I think it's good to have the leader correspond to the UU, since both should be connected to the historical 'golden age' of the civ IMHO.

So if you are going for medieval/renaissance I would try for Machiavelli perhaps. Not sure how many good pics exist of him. Or perhaps one of the Borgias maybe.

If you're treating Italian = Roman then one of the emperors would be fine, but there's already a Roman civ, so that seems a bit pointless really - just rename the Romans if you want that I guess :)

If you want a more modern Italy as the basis you could go non-PC (Mac???:)) and have Mussolini. Or go for unification, with either garibaldi or perhaps Cavour.

Since Italy has had so many governments in the past fifty years, it would be unique if the Italian civ. was to have a different figurehead for each age. It could begin with a pope or holy roman emperor, then the next age have a Renaissance era family head, then either King Victor Emmanuel III or Benito Mussolini, then Bettino Craxi (who was one of the longest serving prime ministers since wwii). This way it would set the Italian civ apart from the other ones.

I agree with Bebro. Giuseppe Garibaldi is probably the best choice.

Ok it will be Garibaldi. Now I'll start to make him :).

in the scenario i'm making, i use the Italian WWII infantry for the Italian uu. I call it "Bersagliere", with 1 extra movement unneffected by mountains.

Nice combination. I think too many modders try to achieve micro-specialization with UUs. Combining Bersagliere and Alpini seems like the right balance.

italy was effectivly rome, so you would hav emany cities the same name, but if you were to make a italy civ, then it would have to be a mordern one. mussonlini would be good if you wanted to make fascist into the game as well. but i think that caesar would be the best italian leader from all eras. well known and arond at there peak.

If you're going to make Italy a different civ without replacing Rome, you can change the Roman capital to Constantinople.

Italian cities:

Rome
Venice
Milan
Naples
Turin
Florence
Palermo
Syracuse
Sardinia
Bologna
Alghero
Gagliara
Cinque Terre
Siena
Assisi
Brindisi
Turin Genoa
Trieste
Reggio Di Gallabria

I was planing on making Italys capital Roma which is the same city just thats the italian name :)
