whoward69, I love your mods. I run about 30 of them.

Any chance you can write a mod that knows the versions of your other mods so that I know when they get out of date?

Or do you have an easy way to work it out?

Comparing each folder to your web site, one by one, is hard work!

An update alerter mod would probably be a useful thing - you might want to see new versions without having the workshop style auto-updating.

Perhaps mods can define a update check URL in the modinfo that will have the number of the latest version which is checked against the current version. Not sure how well this would work with the UI/menu DLL stuff locked away though

There is a tool I used many moons ago that checked certain web-sites for change and gave a message of what it was. I used it for just the method you are describing. Sorry I can't recall what it was, and no longer use it. A Google search would give you an idea of what is available.

I reckon W has already made the whole process of getting his mods as easy as he needs, anything else should be done by others, IMO.

Yeah that page is great if you keep on top of it.

However I installed 20 mods a year ago and stopped playing.
Now I have to literally compare each mod one-by-one as the bydate page doesn't really help.

I guess the alternative is to get your page into xls and compare it to a dir listing in xls.

(go on - make a mod that knows all mods versions!)
