Oh, why are they so strong. Even Digger fail to face these superriders. The digger corp only gets a even race against the malon rider.

BTW I'm sure Australia is not T1 Civ, but T2 Civ. It is already T88 however I only have 250 science per turn. Terrible number. As Korea or Nubia or Russia or Norway shall be 350.

Yep golden age bonus

You should check out the Alexander Game on YouTube of TheGamemechanic.
Some smart plays from the AI there

I totally know the mechanism.
But isn't it too OP? A modern infantry defeated by a Renaissance unit, especially when the modern one is a UU that famous in high combat strength bonus, but still defeated by a Renaissance rider.

But isn't it too OP?.

For MP? Yes, probably.

For SP? Well, if you’re playing against Mapuche AI, then it’s an extra challenge. I like that. If you’re playing Mapuche against the AI? ...does the AI get Golden Ages that often? I’ve no idea.

So base strengths are 55 vs 72?
So the 55 becomes 81 because...
+10 for golden
+4 for home territory
+4 for difficulty
That’s still short of 81, religion?
GG? I like the way the diggers have generals but they cannot use them. But raiders MP is only 5.
Digger is damaged. Is there a promotion hidden?
The whole Picture feels highly situational... aaah! I see it!
Lily is playing as Australia and is complaining that the enemy has gained a lot of bonuses. 81 does seem high.

I think it fits the revolutionary concept in Mapuche that they are able to fight against a bigger (fire)power.

55+5(home)+4(difficulty)+5(GG)+10(Golden Age)+2(flanking bonus)=81

Diggers are famous for high combat strength since they're actually 77 strength units, the +5 outside friendly territory always holds. However even diggers cannot beat these superriders. After losing a couple of diggers and digger corps, I finally buy a bomber and a fighter to bomb Mapuche. Bombers have 110 bombard strength and works very well.

It looks very possible to put the diggers on the coast for an extra +10. Cancel out the golden age versus at least.

Well, if "OP" can mean it's way too high relative to other bonuses you can get in the game, then yes. +10 seems pretty damn high.

But realize, the concept behind this was specifically to create an "underdog" fighter that can resist civ's that are outclassing them.

I don't like it myself. Just another ludo-narrative disconnect, like Cyrus getting reduced grievances for declaring surprise wars just because the civ is designed to declare lots of surprise wars. There's nothing to actually make sense of why being in a golden age would put a civ at a fighting disadvantage--what, the soldiers are just extra-angry at you because of all your historic moments?

The power difference wouldn't be as bad if the Digger didn't have -3 penalty, but that's still brutal. For the most part I'm in favor of the extra challenge though. It's something you have to plan for when you see Mapuche in the game. I'm not sure how it plays out in MP but I'd expect +10 to be a decisive advantage unless one player completely out-classes the other in skill.

Do you think this 4 civ are the best in science ? What about Aztec and Arabia with the Madrasa ?

Arabia is not good. It actually doesn't have much bonus. Try to write its ability like this

"Holy Sites with shrine and temple get an extra 3 faith and 1 amenity (or 2 science) and +10% science/culture, when you found a religion you cannot choose the 2nd belief other than the founder belief."

"Campus with library and university get an extra faith bonus same to the adj science bonus. "

Now what do you get? Yes, a second Khmer.

Off-topic: What is the thing at 2 tiles within Willi Mapu range, adjacent to Truffles and HS in the approximate middle of the map?

EDIT: Oh it's Alcazar

Hope she's allright @aimee what's up with You ?

I watched an AI Mapuche absolutely SHRED two massive empires in a very short amount of time utilizing nothing but Malon riders. This was my first experience with the improved AI land combat after the last patch. It was absolutely absurd how fast he cut through Greece and Australia.

I felt like I blinked and he had taken nine cities.
