Why are some AI Civs are stronger than others?

if it is same AI logic for all, why is Persia always strongest? Does Industrial make difference for AI?
Persia works like they are Scientific, Industrial and Militaristic in one.

Sure industrious does. It makes their defense and attack better, as well as increasing their income.
I toyed with the editor, and there's a way to make the AI much better without need of deity outrageous bonuses: tell all the AIs to build workers often.
Besides, Persian UU is damn strong, and their golden age is pretty well timed.
America, China, Egypt... industrious civs are always top dogs, aren't they?
Besides, being agressive, but not too much, helps a lot. Don't be like Shaka.

Exactly; players have long speculated that the best civ traits for winning include industrious, religious, and scientific. Persia (and often in my games, the Iroquois) have the right blend of traits, UU/golden age timing, and settings for aggressiveness (Egypt, which should be the best Civ based on traits, tends to play peacefully).

It increases their income by having roads faster, and attack and defense by building fortresses faster, and units using those roads... it's quite indirect. You could match all things to all traits with an indirect situation.

That early boost helps out a LOT!

Those immortals can crack any ancient defenses and that early golden age help you get the next best thing that much sooner

I like to play as the Persians. Industrious and Scientific are by far my two favorite traits.

i loooooooovee the persians
they almost always get a golden age the first time i go to war wiv my immortals. and everyone on my continent tends to get smashed by wave after wave of immortals. they are grrrreat! hehehe
