I must add.Groups A and C will both split, one part attacking north the athor attacking south! Those Athelonians wont know where to go.....Now is this better than Plan A???? hmmmm
Hehe, maps, i draw maps in my Maths book when im board, my friend acts like a military advisor he then does some maps and i talk to him about it, its fun
thomson_2001: Go outside. Look at the sky. Do some situps. Stretch. Read. What you are doing now is unhealthy. I suggest a 30 minute break from civving so you can reboot your brain. The plan looks good, I like B better. The best defense is a good offense BTW
Why dont you go on the defensive in the west (group B) by moving up some muskteers in the mountins that way you will have more knights for the attack to the north and you can finish of the western front later. It might be a good thing to keep one or two knights in reserv behind the defensive line. What do you think or have you already mashed them?
UPDATE: I went with plan A with great success. Group A took a city per turn for 4 turns as B captured all of the Western cities in 8 turns.Group D settled near the northern tip of Athelonica and have undergone constant heavy attack - producing a great leader mooohahahaha! This has meant that group A were able to surround the capital and the pleaded for mercy. So i signed a peace treaty!
yup u heard me....it meant i got 4 techs! great!
Then the next turn...well i declared war and thats where i am now.Now you know why the other civs hate me!
btw Gonzo : ive been outside - to get some beer
: situps - yeah right!
: i read the labels on the cans
: i stretched my arms to get a new one
So Im pretty healthy.lol im so sad aint I....well the gf is away at the mo dude
Yeah i changed the icon due to the mod im working on. www.81x.com/thomson_2001/mesoamericamod Check it out if you have a little time I only play civ 3 for a few hours at a day (or 2 days) so it keeps the game fresh each time I play. I only statred making battle plans in my current game (preparing for ptw!!!) and when i think about em and stick to them they work. It makes it more exciting also cos you know where your troops should be and its rewarding to get them to your goal rather than aimless capturing of cities. Little individual battles between knights become tense as if lost could ruin your entire plan but if won means you can advance.
Plans change a little though as i play therm through. for example Gruop A consisted of 12 knights and for the first few turns i hadnt lost any. Then one turn i lost 2 and had 4 critically wounded trying to attack a musketman in 1 citie! so you retreat, regroup and attack a smaller nearby town first then wipe out that pain in the ass city!
Oh...
Good site in perspective. Waiting till it has what it is meant to have.
And for portuguese units, go to the What civs you would like to add Forum.
I'd really like to see a portuguese-based unit...
UPDATE:- Wiped out all of the Greeks (Athelonians) then made mill alliances with Aztecs and Iroqious against Rome. Wiped out Rome pretty quickly by using loadsa galleons. During the war the Aztecs and Iroqious were "polite" then as soon as Rome was wiped out the retured to "furious"? WHY? Its not like I drew out of the millitary aliance or anything but they REALLY hate me for sum reason
