Why didn't those Sakkra insta-assimilate?

I just captured a two Sakkra colonies but they had "captured" colonists even though feudal colonists are supposed to instantly assimilate. The weren't a confederacy either. Is there a situation I don't know of where it wouldn't happen the way I'd think it would?

Feudal races that are captured NEVER automatically assimilate. Perhaps it's a bug or they changed the rules, as it is now they assimilate the same as Dictatorship. (1 per 8 turns I believe)

Telepathic Mind Control is the ONLY way to auto-assimilate. Just had a game yesterday and a Telepathic colony leader does indeed BLOCK Mind Control! COOL! :D

Also not documented for Feudal Governments; they get +10% Morale for Psionics Tech (same as Dictatorship), Confederation removes -20% Morale Penalty (for no Barracks) but they DON'T get the ADDED +20% Morale that Imperium gets. And Confederation upgrade cuts research LOSS to 25% from 50%.

You want to unload troop transports there too.
Otherwise, the colony could revolt.
I don't know the exact formula, but, I have noticed that the higher the planetary population is, the more likely it will revolt.
There is some sort of ratio between the planet's population and the number of marines on the planet.
So, basically, More marines = less likely to revolt.
And, build the Alien Control Center to assimilate them faster, of course.

Keep ship at the planet and if you have the tech make armored barracks and get those units to help prevent revolts. Better yet, just dust all Sak planets.
