Dont ask me to explain my reasons. I just dont. ;)

No child left behind isnt working and neither is his plan for iraq.

So why do people support him when hes a total failure right now?

I think there are 112, or 113 people left that support him.

Because he is the American president, that's why.

Cool, so if Satan was the American president you'd support him. At some point you just have to say, I'm backing a loser. Reality bites.

I would say that he is my president. But how would Satan BECOME president, is the question.

He may have his downfalls, but he is a honest man, and I respect that.

The only things that I support on Bush is his stance against Stem Cell research, stance against abortions and stance against same-gender marriages.

:agree: And his stance on the senater from Massachussetes who made that rediculous remark.

I support him because he is a good president.

Really, this Bush bashing is getting rather annoying and boring; he's a lame duck now and won't get impeached/voted out, so I really don't see your point any more, besides trying to question my intelligence and the intelligence of America.

NO! His stance on embryonic stem cell research is RETARTED!

Why waste embryos that have already been aborted. :shake:

He can take his christian values and shove it up his backside!

It wouldnt be so bad to me as long as they dont kill babies for the sole purpose of research.

But nobody does that.. case closed.

Whoh, calm down there. Not everyone is going to agree with you. Not everyone would agree with my belief in God or that Christian theology is truth. No everyone would agree in my belief that God created the Big Bang. Much like not everyone agrees with what Bush does.

Edit: Xanikk999 & Trajan12 - If you want to argue about Stem Cell research and abortions. PLEASE!!!! For all things holy!!! Start a new thread and take it over there! No need to threadjack this thread with debates about stem cells and abortions when this thread is about Bush himself.

I support his awesomeness as far as lowering taxes and dealing with the Katrina fiasco.

The thing is, he's not a good president. Almost 3,000 soldiers dead in Iraq for them to be able to fight a civil war, No Child Left Behind leaving millions of children behind, killing Social Security, ignore countless memos from FBI agents warning of possible plans to fly planes into buildings, leaving the economy in shambles, (1 Year 10,000-11,000; 7 Years 11,000-12,000) running a fear, queer, smeer campaign in 2004, and not even being elected in 2000. There's plenty of reasons to not like him.

Your just a result of blind patriotism, not everything our president (of any party) is right, and you should be able to criticize him/her for it.

EDIT: Add lowering taxes in time of war, lying about cost of war, lying about war, and dealing with Katrina to above list.

I think he confused backing him because he's the President, and being loyal to him because he's the President. It's just like how everyone got all worked up when Chavez did his little "Satan" and "I have no qualms with the American people" stunt. He may be a bad president, but he's OUR bad president!

I'm not saying that he (or anybody) should be followed unconditionally, but he IS the leader of our country, and deserves a certain amount of respect as our leader and Commander-in-Chief.

You forgot halting Stem Cell research, relaxing restrictions on big industry, and increasing the size of the government.

However, the economy isn't THAT bad off, anf the whole thing about Bush, the FBI, and September 11 is more of a conspiracy theory than concrete proof that they knew of the attack, the date, the places, and still ignored it.
The rest of that post is largely on target, though.

I would add one last thing, though. 3,000 soldier s dead, while tragic, is not a whole lot. After all, we've lost MANY more in that time span before.

I support him because he isn't cowardly enough to leave a fragile Iraq to chaos and disorder by withdrawing our troops too early. Whether the war was justified or not, whether the casualties were worth it or not, we have to stay in Iraq for the sake of the Iraqis, and Bush is steadfast in this regard.

Well, we made the mess and we have to clean it up ;).

Because I agree with him on more things than I disagree with him on. And I happen to think that John Kerry would have been worse, and quite honestly, I'm having trouble thinking of someone who could do a better job right now. (Well, maybe me. ;) But if you limit the pool to elected American officials, I can only come up with a few names.)
