Warlord
I always had hard time keeping my reputation good so I've read recently many threads about rep hits etc...
I never manage to win diplomatic above Regent.
In my last Game (Celts Emperor Medium Map all Random) I tried to use every bit of advice I read on this forum to keep my reputation clean with most of the civs.
I was on a Medium Island along with the French and the Americans. The other Civs were on other islands.
Of course I had to wipe the Americans and the French to get enough space and ressources, and they became Furious after me because I captured them several cities : I needed the Iron near Washington to build Gallic Swordmen, and I needed those Furs from Orleans and Dyes from New York too.
But I tried to keep my reputation towards the other civs, I never broke a deal and so on. Only th French and Americans were Furious toward me.
I had several deals with the Vikings, thanks to their Lighthouse they were able to trade across the sea (I'm still in very early Middle-Age, no Astronomy).
Unfortunatly, the Japanese (living on the same island as the Vikings) started a war with the Vikings, and they captured the city with the LightHouse, so it wasn't possible to trade with the Vikings anymore !
The vikings were "Polite" towards me, and then they instantly dropped to "Furious" !
I know the fact that an active trade gives better attitude, they should have dropped to "Cautious" or maybe "Annoyed", but why did they go Furious ?
That's not my fault, isn't it ?
And that's not all, every other civ is now Annoyed with me !
I think the AI consider that I broke the deal, but it has nothing to do with me, It's the Japanese's Fault !
I think it's a bug !
