1 Even Rove's biggest critics for example Chris Matthew acknowledges that Rove is super smart, IQ of over 160

2 Someone with 160+ IQ would not do commit a crime like this and get caught doing it.

3 Ergo, Rove is innocent :king:

But he still might get indicted. A big annoucement is supposed to happen soon from the special prosecutor. If Rove is indicted it will be because the prosecutor is off the rails. I hope Bush pardons anyone who is indicted, especially if it is the VP or Rove.

He may have been clever but surely his IQ was less than 160!

It says Einstein had an IQ of just over 160. So that means Rove is as smart as EINSTEIN.

And besides, Unabomber was willing to go to jail for a cause. Rove according to his biggest critics is the exact opposite and not willing to go to jail for a cause.

Alright ~~~~ then how about this guy ???

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Fischer

ur website rated him 187 ~ 167.

Um Fischer did NOT get caught. He's perfectly free now and was never sentenced to any jail time (nor was there ever any real chance he would be) And besides that, he believed in a moral cause (something he THOUGHT was right) and was willing to take the risk ... Rove's biggest critics say he has no moral cause he'd be willing to take a risk for.

Certainly, intelligence factors into it, but not as you suggest. It's not that people like Karl are smart enough not to commit treason, it's that they're smart enough to realize that there will always be people of your mental stature to defend them.

Smart people do make mistakes. The assertion that someone w/ a 160 IQ wouldn't do this is not accurate.

High intelligence doesn´t mean he isn´t arrogant enough to underestimate his opponents.

Why, that's just [Guinness commercial] brilliant! [/Guinness commercial]

The fact that he got caught means he didn't do it, because he's too smart to get caught doing it.

...or maybe he did do it, but tried to make people beleive that he did it another way, so they coud catch him for that and not the real thing which is smarter than....

oh dear, I've gone cross-eyed :crazyeye:

I hope you arent serious with this. Ceridan, i painted you much smarter than that.
I know rove is a smart guy. Most people who have held his job are. Im not sure if he has an IQ of 160, or even if that means anything (i take much less stock in that number than say you or Bad Ronald do). But plenty of very smart people have been caught before.

I would be very surprised if Bush pardons Rove if he's busted. the public outcry would be *huge*

a big hahahhahhahhahahahahahahah at OT for having someone you all hate be smarter than all of you when everyone here is more proud of their intelligence than anything else!

I now patiently wait for someone to tell me that "dude I took like this NASA government certified ultra-scientific IQ test and got like 170!"

And I now also wait patiently for someone to post the above quoted sentence verbatim thinking they are clever/funny for it.

Since some doubt if Karl Rove has IQ of 160+ note how one critic's book calls him "Bush's Brain" ... and another big critic (MSNBC Chris Matthews) says:

Because normally if you make any effort to remember something, you know, you use mnemonic devices like writing a note to somebody or scribbling out the memo, it‘s solid in your memory, especially to a guy with an IQ of about 160. I mean, this guy Karl is one smart customer

What the defense could argue is "To the extent that the prosecution says that Rove is too smart to be able to forget is the extent to which you should doubt the case against him since if he really is that smart he wouldn't have done something like this and get caught doing it."

BTW, I have high IQ too. On one IQ test I scored like 170 or something :) On others I scored a little lower :(

Well you must never get caught then.

Are you serious?

Actually you're exactly correct. Cierdan leaked the name to the reporter, and then framed Karl Rove for it, obviously having no problem doing so since his IQ is higher than Rove's. ;)

Apparently Cierdan is making this argument in earnest which, yep, suggests that his IQ is right around Rove's.

Oh, people always assume Rove is super-smart, but he is not. Yeah, he's called "Boy Genius"... by George Bush. He's somebody's Brain.... actually, he's Bush's Brain. He's smart enough to manipulate a Presidency from behind the scenes... George Bush's presidency.

:p For Pete's sake, I could be Bush's Brain. It's not like there's much competition for the job.

If you want people to think Rove is smart, calling him Bush's brain wont help your cause too much.
