I agree with Dearmad!

The game is a dream!
everything I was hoping for is in it,

Smooth interface and fast movement!

I think those who moan of the game being crap are either:

1 Crap at the game and impatient!
2 Have rotten PCs and should get new ones!

The game rocks, I am looking forward to the X-pack!

Games are perfect for some people when they are very specific..
Specificity makes them perfect for guys knowing what they want and knowing that they could sometimes need to change their points of view to get their will come true in a better way,perhaps learning something new...
If you don't like civ3 just don't play it
I didn't like ctp,i stopped playing it,but I feel grateful to the developers 'cause I was given something I could proof and judge,and w/o it I could think and say something less about civilization-like games...
Now I return playing Quake3,even if it sucks because it lacks realism (jocking...)

Yes, multiplayer would have been nice but in reality, in order to get a good game going, you'll need some really dedicated playmates.

I'll also admit that I've posted some somewhat negative things regarding screwy combat results but my overall thoughts on the game are nothing but positive. The game is addictive and in many respects, feels fundamentally different from the first two civs.

If I'm angry:

1. dissertation of doom
2. civ3 LE hasn't arrived yet
3. World map blows and the civs aren't in their historic positions.
4. A billion corruption threads have formed and aload of newbies giving it...when I was a newbie I got banned for a week after about 10 posts...it should be the same for all newbies
