Why might I be unable to form a tribal alliance?

Hi,

Playing as the Carthaginians on the Old World map. I am unable to choose the Tribal Alliance option with the Numidians. The button does not seem to be active. I was able to attempt the Tribal Alliance with the Gauls, but turned it down, as the Help entry indicates that I can have only one.

I would like to finish colonizing North Africa, to the west edge of the map, but don't want to have to declare war on my faithful (intended) allies to clear the urban sites. I want to try to peacefully assimilate them, and keep them as a handy source of mercenaries.

Any ideas why the option is being denied? Pic below, and the save file is attached.

There is a bug with tribal alliance that should hopefully be fixed for release. Apologies for the mess.

Hi Dale,

Thanks for the prompt reply. That's a shame it's not working correctly, for now. It was really adding to the flavor of playing the Carthaginians.

I suppose my next heir will have to put their family history aside, hire off all the available Numidians as mercs, and then backstab them...
