I mean really if the American Leader was Herbert Hoover or someone as bad or worst there would be outrage!

Right, i'm going to offend a lot of people now...
Hitler isn't relevant enough in history, ok, he killed a certain amount of people, but he didn't gave his homeland a needed boost in all aspects of society, he didn't combine all sorts of tribes or whatever...
He just made war and he lost... not really worthy of being in Civ4

you know, this is getting silly already, I agree with your points barley, but there is already way too many threads about it..And a recent poll in the main forum is getting about 50%+- for who wants he in and 50%+- for who dont..Dont think he will be in with that odds, Firaxis is not crazy..

And Im also in another game forum and they have some rules like a sticky thread ofr each of the most-annoying-flammer-spammer-createdeveryday threads..I think would be nice from a moderator to do a sticky about hitler and everybody post there, if somebody creates a new thread its closed...

No, I don't think that Hitler will be included as a leader in any future edition of civ.

If you haven't already been overwhelmingly convinced of that by the previous posters, I would like to pose a rhetorical question: "What would be the Unique Building that would be assigned to Hitler's civilization?"

Do you still have any hope of him showing up in this game? I hope not.

Hasty edit: That's NOT a vote for including him, he was (in the words of Eddie Izzard) a genocidal f**khead. There IS a valid point buried somewhere in all this that he did do a lot for the German economy (not as much as Bismark, mind) and that many other leaders did commit crimes comparable to his, Stalin being the prime example. I'm quite sure that he wouldn't be in there even if that didn't mean no sales in Germany.

Ooh, I wouldn't go there... anyway, unique buildings are tied to civilizations, not their leader, and Germany already has one.

Them putting someone like Nixon in the game wouldn't make me not buy it, just make me think the people at Firaxis have a sence of humor.

Hello Barney,

an answer from a real German, who had grandfathers fighting for Hitler :

Hitler was a complete looser , military-wise and popularity-wise. That is why he is not in Civ ! (besides that he was an uneducated painter and really not fits into the same row with Bismarck and Frederick II or Barbarossa or Arminius)

All the other leaders in Civilzation are winners , even Napoleon, Shaka, Montezuma and the Inca, as they have won the admiration at least of their own people till today.

Do you understand that now ?

is there a german version of this site if so ask the german players if you whould like hitler to be in the game
