WID3-Opengame. Wont mess up again. I promise.

Not at all. AFAIK, if you click on the 1.21f icon again, you can remove the patch for a while until you install it back.

Oops, should be more specific: there's a blue icon on the desktop if you downloaded the patch to the desktop. Click on that to install, and click on it again to uninstall.

Crap, sorry widdowmaker, I think it is me. I started the game up using the GOTM stuff. Shall we start over?

yes. civcube you start. this is 1.20

Here we go again...

4000 BC: Yech, Flood Plain. There's a river nearby, though.
It appears that we're inland, with mountains
and hills all around us. Should head for the hills, but there's some jungle nearby.
What I think I'll do is settle for now and see if there's a better place to go later on.

ISTANBUL FOUNDED

Hmm, some wheat and game nearby. I send the Worker there.
Construction's a must, so I set that as a goal. Working the slider doesn't really do anything,
so I set it back a little for some quick cash.

3950 BC: Building.

3900 BC: Building.

3850 BC: Worker finishes road on hill.

3800 BC: He moves to wheat.

3750 BC: Worker begins work on road.

3700 BC: Our man finishes the road to the wheat.

3600 BC: He moves north to connect the game. Incense is spotted west in a desert.

3550 BC: Building.

3500 BC: Cultural influence expands. Warrior is finished, and is sent to the goody hut
just spotted northeast...

3450 BC: Our good men move ever closer to their goals.

3400 BC: Worker begins connecting the game to Istanbul, and Warrior gets 25 shells.

(We now have 72 gold with +4 per turn.)

3350 BC: Warrior is sent north. More mountains, but water is spotted!

3300 BC: Warrior continues north.

3250 BC: Dyes are spotted on the coast, with some in the jungle south of Istanbul.
Warrior continues north. Worker finishes road.

3200 BC: Worker is sent southwest of Istanbul to irrigate.

3150 BC: Cattle spotted on the coast. Istanbul's Spearman Coalition is founded. Let's
have 'em stay there, shall we?

3100 BC: Our brave Warrior continues north. Worker finishes irrigation. Snow-capped
peak is found, along with ivory and a goody hut to the west. Warrior is sent there.

3050 BC: Worker sent SW to mine.

3000 BC: Ah, the wonderful feeling of knowing how to shape the clay between your fingers...the goody hut gave us Pottery!

Yeahhh, it's an okay start, I guess, but not nearly as good as the first one. :p

Here's the save. Hope it works this time!

20: green border found by john the adventuer.

Ok i got one sper exploring. The other is going to what i want to be the next city destination, can be vetoed. Then john is going to make contact and try to broker to get us to techparity. On this tunr i got warrior code from iroquios for 120gold. finish iron and i think we need a new gov. The extra income and resurces is reason enough. If we want republic then we can trade monarchy for it.
All in all not a bad turn! I also set up some prefs. In a SG you want it to ALWAYS wait at end of your turn. This lets you make finial changes. Then you want to know WHEN the enemy makes wonders. (f7) So i turned that option on too.

Also for those who dont know. I find that the best city placement map is called "The 5-Count" Take your city square and count 5 tiles in any direction long as it is a stragight shot. (to see tiles do ctrl+g) That would be the BEST city location for no overlap. We are expanding way sloly. Once the granery is done i HIGLY recomend us making a settler and getting a town up. The i recomend we kill the iroquis to the south. (I hate those damn indians. they always war later.)

Thats it. Have fun and please forgive any spelling errors.

I think joedoe21 doesn't want to play at the moment, so I got it.

~... Dude, you posted the wrong save!

DOH! Iam looking but i cant find it!

BAH! I cant find it! I named it WID3, 2700BC.sav and am looking for anything with WID in it using a find feature. And i only get that ONE file! Mod where is it! i uploaded bout 5 times.

Suggestion: Watch the caps. That messed me up. Searching for WID32700BC will not help if the file is named WID32700bc.sav. I remember the time my program suddenly starting saving pictures as .GIF rather than .gif files.

Suggestion #2 - the upload server will act like it is working, but if the name ends in .SAV (All caps) it won't transfer. Make sure .sav, .jpg, .zip, etc are in lowercase.

checked those. Must be it. WID was caps and it was .SAV and not .sav

Changed them but i am on 56k so it is taking like hours to open the upload window. Ahh well. I hope it works.

civ cube sry bout the delay i got to go to school. i upload it later.

AHHHHHHHH. My comp is havin problems, so i got ot end this prematurely. Family problems and comp problems

Shucks. :(

Well, if you want to start this up again, don't hesitate to ask! :)
