wierdest things that have happened to you in Civ2

Hi id like to know wierd things that have happened in civ 2, or interesting things you have discovered. i have a few myself;
first of all, i discovered that you can hurt civs that are allied with you or at peace with you without going to war; if there is an enemy ajacent to your "ally" you can nuke the enemy and it also hits the ally
Second, ive seen the AI build a city in the artic once (?!?!?!)
third, once a civ demanded tribute, i refused, and then i demanded tribute, and they gave it to me!
i would really like it if someone else could say some interesting things (hopefully more interesting than mine! )

I have just had something wierd happen in my game. I was at war on-&-off with the Chinese who had been reduced to just one city. They began swapping techs with the Egyptains so I sent an emissary to the Egyptians to ask them to declare war against the Chinese. They responded that they had no contact with the Chinese!!
To make matters worse I then attacked the Chinese and it said "Egyptians activate their alliance with the Chinese and declare war"

A bit strange especially as my embassy told me they were not allied!!
