Will the city governors ever use these specialists? Or has C3C walked further down the road towards micromanagement? i.e. if you want to use the new features, micromanage it yourself because we didn't have time to program the AI to use it. Kind of like many older strategy games, including Civ 2 (carriers? you mean you saw the AI build it? Oh you mean you hacked the txt file to reverse the carrier with the destroyer, which it's hardcoded to build...).
I haven't actually read much chatter about this, so I'm assuming that people are supposed to micromanage these guys (because the AI can't use it or because it's a "feature" to discourage large empires), or I haven't figured out the settings for the city governor. Please if anyone knows how to manipulate the governors to use these guys let me know. I know I should love resetting the city folks to prevent unrest every time they change population, war weariness changes, luxuries are added/removed, the global spending sliders change etc. but I just don't have the micromanaging stamina I used to as a young man.
It would be nice to have the governor keep the city out of unrest while using specialists like policemen on an "Emphasize Production" setting...especially if the city is already at max pop anyway & you don't mind losing some commerce areas (which are already being eaten by high corruption). Or should I forget about this ever being added? I suppose you guys are going to demand an AI fix first for proper placement of the forbidden palace in the January patch which corrects the FP's "second palace" abilities, sigh....
