Hej!

Will a GeForce 9300M GS and a Core 2 Duo T6570, 2,1 GHz do to play Civ IV BTS fluently with high details?

Well maybe not High Detail on Huge maps, but you should be able to manage Medium with no AA. I find there's very little difference between High and Medium anyway. And kensington made a good point about the RAM, how much do you have? I've seen it eat up over 1.5 gig by the late game so you should have at least 2, though 3 would be better.

The laptop I'm looking at has 4 GB RAM, so that will be OK. Maybe I should look for one with better graphics card, but it not easy to find a 12"-13" laptop with a good graphics card that doesn't cost a fortune.

Yes I'd recommend that as well, the 9300 isn't really a great card. It will probably be OK for Civ but that's about it. If you're going for the GeForce 9xxx series, you really shouldn't settle for anything below the 6 models. 8 would be the best.

That's fine for medium detail. I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as you're okay with sacrificing a bit of graphical detail. My girlfriend has a laptop with a 1.8 GHz Atom CPU and 9300M, and it plays the game well, though somewhat slowly. Minimizing all the graphics options works best, but your Core 2 Duo would be much, much better. A 9300M wouldn't be recommended, but it certainly works.

I run high detail in everything and large maps marathon and I only have a 8600 GT card with 4 megs ram. I think Ram is the key to the game running smoothly.

Although a bit expensive, I can really recommend the LG P310 notebook. Run like a charm. Maybe you can still get the P300 ABMAG somewhere (which I own). It should be much cheaper. These are lightweight and powerful. Value for money...

Which graphics card does it have? Is it the one with the P8400 CPU?

The P300 is the old model with a 8600M GS and a T8300 processor (2x 2.4 GHz). This is more than fast enough for CIV. I actually also manage to play Medieval II Total War on it, although of course without AA and highest details.

The P310 now has the P8700 (2x 2.53 GHz) and the 9600M GT. So, for a 13.3" laptop, this is quite okay...:)

EDIT: There are several models with different CPUs. They are all fast enough though...

However the price here in Europe is ~ 1300-1400 € (should be ~ 1700 US-$, but in general I am always gaping at the much cheaper prices when I am in the US...:crazyeye:)
On the other hand, a laptop like this will be running games for you for years to come...
