Will not let me Start a Game

I have just downloaded Fall from heaven 2 for the first time, and i would like to play it but when i go to play game it loads for a second and crashes.
I do have .32 of it and patch h and BTS 3.17 but it still does not work please help:dunno:

So maybe you did, but i havent!! Since patch g no game will start. Have to install patch e again so i can play. patch g and h are a problem for some reason (i dont have f, but thats not the problem int it?)

So who can help?

Well, i am now dl patch 3.17..........:lol:
 
Im having the same problem with this mod, cant start games..they load and then crash while loading
 
what happened was that i put it in the folder next to the civilization IV folder so it was not updated
 
I have the exact same problem-have the 3.17 bts patch, everything is in the right folder, then crashes while loading a new game. Difference is, I have the 'I' (or 'l') patch. Any ideas?

EDIT: Woops, Im sorry, it really works fine! See, my civ4 folder isn't firaxis, so the patch actually got installed in the wrong place. I've fixed that now.
 
Im still having problems. Mine crashes straight to desktop. Same thing as Bob but i dont understand how he fixed his and how he fixed t really.
 
Which version are you using of BtS/Vanilla Civ and of FfH?
 
I am having the same issue. I load it from the FFH Icon and it crashes before it gets to the loading screen... seems to be trying to load the game 3 times though. I have BtS, and all of the latest patches and updates. just got them today.
 
I'm having the same problem. When i try to start a new game, it crashes to desktop.....
 
I have BtS 3.17 and installed FfH 2 032 l.

When I activate the MOD the game crashes:
"GFC Error: failed to initizialize the primary control theme"

Edit:
Problem solved, intalled it in my documents instead of the mod folder in the main game directory.
Sorry for the posting.
 
I have downloaded .32 and like most other people, I can't play it because my BTS is too updated with 3.17. I was just wondering if anyone knows whether or not I can intall 3.13 over top of 3.17? or do I have to do a new install? Also, I read that there may be a .33 in the near future that would be 3.17 compatible. Is there an update on that or somewhere I can check in one of these forums?

p.s. I also have patch "I" if that matters and all the folders are where they need to be (in the correct spot that is) I just read the previous post and it's odd that it'll work for some ppl with 3.17 and not others...any thoughts?
 
Did you update to 3.17 via in-game updater, or from the Update hosted on this site? For many people, using the in-game updater will CLAIM to have updated them, but in truth it does not. Downloading the update from this site is not only more reliable, but often faster as well.


.33 and all other versions since .23 patch G have been updated to require (and work with) 3.17
