Simple question. I would really like to know if civ5 will be ready to be modded immediately.
I use 3dsmax for gfx creation.

(Obviously i mean mods of the gfx, not anything else)

why is that important? just mod the game.. btw.. i dont see the point in modding right away. i suspect modding is fun (i never did it my self though) but dont you have to get a good feal of the game it self, what it offers what it does what you can do with it and how the inner mechanics are before you start modding? I mean.. where is the point in just messing everything up at random just for the heck of it?

Well you would be correct, but i do not play computer games anymore :) I like creating gfx though.

Also it is crucial to see (for me) if they have made modding easier. In civ4 (to my knowledge) you still need a number of programs to make a building mod. Maybe this time 3dsmax can be used alone (?)

Extremely unlikely since it would allow players to expand the playability of the demo beyond what it is intended for.

why is that important?
Nah, I doubt anybody would want to mod the demo itself. But if it was moddable, it would be a nice way to get a headstart with familiarising oneself with the files, the formats, the structure of the game and so on.

Cheers, LT.
