why is that important? just mod the game.. btw.. i dont see the point in modding right away. i suspect modding is fun (i never did it my self though) but dont you have to get a good feal of the game it self, what it offers what it does what you can do with it and how the inner mechanics are before you start modding? I mean.. where is the point in just messing everything up at random just for the heck of it?
Well you would be correct, but i do not play computer games anymore I like creating gfx though.
Also it is crucial to see (for me) if they have made modding easier. In civ4 (to my knowledge) you still need a number of programs to make a building mod. Maybe this time 3dsmax can be used alone (?)
If you arent a student/can't get it, then forget using it since it costs around $3500 (and i do not recommend spending all that just so that you can make gfx for civ5)
Nah, I doubt anybody would want to mod the demo itself. But if it was moddable, it would be a nice way to get a headstart with familiarising oneself with the files, the formats, the structure of the game and so on.
