Will this run Civ V???

After over 500 hours of playing Civ V my Alienware M11x refuses to take anymore punishment (overheats after a few minutes).

As a result I'm looking for a replacement but don't want to spend an arm and a leg on one. I'm willing to spend up to £800 for a decent laptop or even a desktop to get my Civ fix.

It is slightly a step above the computer I am on right now and I have every thing set on max. The game plays just fine except during late game, on huge maps, with over 100 cities, I get that slow to refresh grey area when going from place to place on the map.

Okay so I've narrowed my choice down to two laptops for the budget I'm willing to spend:

Which one would you guys recommend over the other and will I be able to run CiV G&K and BNW (when it's released) on max settings? Thanks in advance

The MSI is better than the Acer. A nice point is also the much higher resolution. However, running civ (or any other game) on a higher resolution makes it heavier for the pc. So, which one is better at running the game I can't tell you, sorry.

One downside of the MSI is that it doesn't have blu-ray player, the acer does. However, it depends on whether you want to use that if it is a downside.

A website to compare computer I personally like it http://www.game-debate.com/ . Here you can fill in the specs and see if it runs. Although it isn'tperfect it does give you a (general) idea (keep in mind to fill in the resolution correctly, as this can have a big impact!).

I decided to purchase the MSI GE60 however I opted for the 0ND version with the GTX660m, Blu-ray, and an additional 128GB SSD. I think that should be sufficient for my mobile gaming needs for at least a year or so.
