Wimping out

of being wimps. I tried to load my game one turn before I enter a Goody hut and got the same frickin result time after time after time after time after time, pretty annoying isn't it, yeah, I hate getting the damn maps from colonies, pisses me off....
 
Well, this is probably uberwimpy, but I restarted my current game from 4000 BC after I screwed up the early game.

It's heaps easier when you know where the good city sites are. I like how the autosave keeps that first file handy. Maybe a bit down the road I'll play ironman style, that was a lot of fun on Civ and SMAC.
 
In Civ II I often used the Cheat Mode to quickly see if the starting location was FAIR - and not in the middle of some tundra surrounded by mountains, as often happened with civs such as the Americans.

That's one reason I miss the Cheat Mode.

Since I used the Editor to increase resources to a REASONABLY RARE amount - unlike the absurdly rare amounts in the game - I don't quit over that issue.
