Windows 7 BTS installation problem

I have just got a new laptop which is running Windows 7

I have installed Civ 4 and Warlords and both have installed and run with no problems

I have also installed all of the latest patches for Civ 4 and Warlords.

When I try to install BTS I get an error when it is trying to install Mods\The Road To War\Assets\Art\Terrain\winter\peakgrid.dds

I get a pop up giving me a


data error on D:\data2.cab and the error is 'Data error (cyclic redundancy check)'

Then I get an error saying setup.exe has a problem and it exits.

I have tried reinstalling BTS but the same error every time.

Would be grateful for any help

You can try copying the contents of the disc to your hard drive and installing from there, you can also try gently cleaning the disc. Sometimes a different drive will read the disc better, so if you have 2 drives try copying to your hard drive from the other drive, or copy on another PC and transfer to your hard drive to install. Unfortunately CRC errors usually mean that the disc is damaged so you may have to get another copy.
