Ah, okay, I was confused.
As long as you are positive you're not going to lose any data you need, I don't see why you shouldn't reinstall windows.

Well I don't want to format as I can't really back up many of the things I want to for a while, and you guys said that the repair install thing screws with the computer, then it's going to have to wait.
