Wireless mouse question

I was gifted this wireless mouse for x-mas, but i cannot get it to work...

Does it have anything that gets plugged into the computer, cause i could not find anything apart from the mouse itself. I inserted batteries and it looks like it should be working, but nothing happens.

The model (probably won't help) is a Turbo X WG 300 (wireless mouse). But if anyone knows of wireless such devices, could you tell me if there is any other part to it, which i must have lost?
