Today, I managed to build four of the six left above. I missed the Hanging Gardens by 3 turns in the capital and I was so mad I almost stopped right there. I missed Chichen Itza by about 15 turns and shrugged. I guess I just don't get a lot of Golden Ages, maybe because I expand so fast (so happiness is around 0-5 most of the time) and usually get Great People that I don't want to use for Golden Ages.

GL is very hard to build for any goond slingshot, and for philo it is not really worth it.
HG is very good for almost any kind of game. You need to switch the city for production, and this is 5 mine = 15 production, 2 times the ironworks.

HS is still the best, but I have always voted for it so far.

Down to brass tacks here.

Happiness is easy to come by, and ND falls in an era when it's even easier.

GL & HG deserve to hang on to the end because they can offer huge benefits early.

HG : --> awesome production city
HS : good, but the other are better ( have given arguments many post ago )

and to ND and Happiness and difficulty : Happiness is easy to come by on easier difficulties and when staying small. I play on middle/higher difficulties on bigger maps with a bigger empire and this 10 happiness from ND can't be obtained that easy from other sources. Indeed, later in the industrial I have more options to statisfy my pops, especially because of freedom and specialists. When ND arrives, I shall have maximum luxury ressources from cs, and the bigger cities already have or build coliseums. My biggest enemy is happiness, but you already killed FP :(, teh best wonder.

ND is a very nice wonder, but the reasons why I would kill it now is, that the other wonders, except HS, are better or better said, have more relative impact. But it isn't an easy choice, maybe also depending on the map you get in some cases.

Death to the Super Circus for being a Super Circus.
Long live Hanging Gardens for having a clear purpose: Growing gigantic cities.

I will give the next person a chance to save it before it is completely eliminated.

The Oracle is not just a free culture early in the game when they are cheep. It is a FREE culture always. Having the boost from the Oracle means that all future culture choices cost less because you have delayed the ramping up of costs.

Updated this would be:

Hagia Sophia (14)
Hanging Gardens (8)
Oracle (6)

You also didn't pick one to subtract from, so, do we disregard your post?

Dulsin, you didn't subtract points from any of the wonders and you added 3 to the GL.

and that dulsin hasn't subtracted points, if we disregard dulsin's post

it would be : Hasire's post

maybe, dulsin makes his vote again, but correct now ;) , it's -3 to the one, and +1 to another one

Why build a wonder for food for one city, when city states gives food for all?
Hagia Sophia is a wild card. Wild card > ALL.

Library is too hard to build and early techs are too cheap to bother a wonder with. HG is great for food and much more economical than city-states.

HG: A pretty good wonder, but I would have it around 5 or 6. Having it above the FP is a joke.
HS: Best single wonder in game for obvious reasons.

From the look of the things, it seems that Hagia Sophia is more likely going to be the winenr, so because of that, to make it fair for poor HG and Oracle, i"m taking away poitns for Hagia Sophia..

And Like I did several posts ago, +1 for Oracle becaue Free Policy RULES!

Evil bezurn goes and kills the wonder he has been voting for this whole time. What?! Why? :crazyeye:

(+) Oracle - A great wonder for a large (planned empire) or one pursing a possible culture victory. It also gives 1 Scientist GPP so you'll be getting a free tech / academy sooner than usual with this wonder. The most effective way to rush culture to take care of happiness or money issues.

(-) With the available wonders left its time to put this one to bed. Typically I will try and beeline for this wonder in my capital so that I can then complete a number of other wonders easier, including the Oracle. This gives me some synergy in giving me both artists and scientists specialists sooner rather than later.

Wait. I just looked yesterday, my post wasn't counted.
Hanging Gardens at least had a purpose, and I won't let you guys murder it so fast.
Notre Dame, on the other hand, does not. It's simply happiness. Might as well build circuses and colosseums for the same effect with less production.
You guys disregarded that.
HG still has 1, go look.

Sorry about that, but your post was odd as it was put inside quotes instead of a normal subject body as everyone else's. There was a lot of chatter to sift through on that page and not a whole lot of voting so I mistook your post as chatter.
