The AI always seems to build the Forbidden Palace before me, not to mention I never have happy problems without it, so I feel it isn't needed

Pentagon comes really late for what it does. If I have enough hammers to throw at it I really don't need the discount in upgrade costs, and their are barely any upgrades left anyway. The end of game wonders should be really spectacular IMO since the effect is so short. This one is lame.

Chichen Itza is awesome, longer golden ages, best splash screen narration, good placement on tech tree. What is not to like?

I can get a cultural victory without Cristo. Not worth it anymore. HG is powerful if the capital is surrounded by hills. Can bring a lot of production.

Porc tower is great for a science victory - colossus isn't the worst here but should be far lower down than 12 because it has little benefit on your economy even when used to its full effect.

I need happiness alot in the medieval era and Notre Dame is awesome for that.
Cristo Redentor does so little for policies so late in the game so it is quite unnecessary.

The forbidden palace has its uses, particularly if you like being large.

The Louvre is pretty underwhelming and the artists are not that useful except for golden ages since border stealing causes so much hate.


Also took two off of COlossus because one of the above posts made it red but didn't actually subtract points.

The Louvre is one of the best cultural wonders in the game. With the freedom finisher + hermitage, two landmarks are +25 :c5culture: per turn. Add the piety wonder policy and it's 28 cpt. So for the sake of it +1 for the Louvre.

Let's eliminate a few obvious participants. A boost to the worst buildings doesn't make them any better. Kremlin -2.

Stonehenge is worst than pre patch for 2 reasons. First of all, GEs can be acquired by HS and the Liberty finisher, and it's faster than building Stonehenge and run an engineer from a workshop. Secondly it gives only 6 cpt.

Oracle comes with Philo, a necessary tech. The +1 GS point is minor, but helps to clear an expensive tech earlier and get a better edge. I prefer running fast GS points and be able to bulb more important techs later.

- Stonehenge - Previously a good wonder, now a 'meh' wonder, only worth 2 culture heavy wonder's culture rating. Needs to provide X number of obelisks in cities to be considered worth going for in most cases

The pyramids are so heavily nerfed in the patch that they are close to useless.

Eiffel Tower gives you a happiness boost. Kremlin is useful only for giving another city an additional cultural bonus increase via reformation (+33% culture in a city with a wonder)

Kremlin defensive bonus is unnoticeable, the great wall is fantastic for defence.

Generally if I am doing a lot of fighting in my territory things have gone horribly wrong.

What is not to like about the Sistine Chapel, plus the AI is so slow to build its so you can wait until later.

Eiffel is (has become) extremely good nowadays (perhaps to good). The Pyramids I can live without, not worth it.

Stonehenge is great....for Ancient and Classic eras. After that, it gets overshadowed too easily. It gets matched by a Landmark from a Great Artist and gets stomped by one after the Freedom policy. A game-unique world wonder that loses to an improvement any culture player will have multiples of? Some scaling would be nice.

Eiffel Tower: Great Googly Moogly that's a lot of happiness. Unless you've been going absolutely nuts on settlements and annexation without any consideration to culture production, you're probably going to have enough policies chosen to make this a bigger happiness boost than most happiness policies.

The Pentagon is too little too late, and I've been loving the Hanging Gardens. It just adds a lot of fun to a city.
