I find that quite often, by the time I'm finished building a wonder, I don't have enough time to get any use out of it before it goes obsolete. Of course this only applies to some wonders. But I'm thinking specifically of the Temple of Artemis, the Great Wall, and some others.

For example, the Great Wall gives you a wall in every city. When I *start* building it, many of my cities are six or less in population. But much of the time when I've *finished* it, my cities have broken the 6-pop threshold, or are very close to doing so. So I end up not getting much use out of it.

Similarly, Education often comes not too long after I've built the Temple of Artemis.

Just complaining... :) But does anyone have anything to say about this?

I agree. IMO, the Temple of Artemis and the Great Wall are both wastes of resources to build. There are just too many other good wonders one can build around that time. Some people go ga-ga over the Pyramids and Sun Tzu, too; however, I find it works better for me to just individually build granaries and barracks (particularly since I don't really fight early) and pick another quality wonder around their respective times like the Colossus or Sistine Chapel.
