I like the Nazca lines. Maybe have it give a free temple in every city (if you have a state religion).

As much as I liked Leonardos Workshop in CivII I dont really like the idea of person-specific wonders (Copernicus' Observatory could serve as another example), since the persons in question can pop up as GPs ...

I would like to see a few more industrial-aged wonders (perhaps pre-industrial-age), so I voted for the Trans-Siberian Railway and Big Ben...

I'd like to take the opportunity to endorse my favorite Mod, Gray's "History in the Making", which has many of these wonders included. I think more wonders = more fun. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=226568

While forts have lessoned the need for a canal wonder, I still think there needs to be a chunnel or suspension bridge wonder that could connect continents, and I'd also like to see something in the way of a transcontinental railroad wonder, be it national or world.

I voted for

Nazca Lines
: Required: Mysticism - could provide some culture points/turn (cause of huge, artistic and geometrical 'paintings'), some +happy faces (gathering of masses of people during the walkabout-processions of the 'paintings') and a negative bonus of - hammers as well cause all the small stones had to be removed to carve out the kilometers of blank lines, lot of work, always new lines to be done. I suggest Nazca ist no expensive wonder to be built, but it has to get more expansive by -hammers/turn over time. Obsolete after machinery?! GPP: +2/turn Priest

Templo Mayor: Whipping gives 33% more hammers + a good amount of culture points/turn; mathematics needed to build; expansive; stone required for double production; obsolete with liberalism GPP: +1/turn Engineer +1/turn Scientist

Tower of Babel
: Required: Writing; effects: +4 Population, +2 Trade routes; expansive; trade route bonus obsoletes with Engeneering; GPP: +2/turn Merchant

Trans-Siberian Railway/Trans-Pacific Railroad
: Required: Railroad; effects: railroad tiles on desert, tundra produce +3 gold, railroad on forrest +2 gold (making lumbermills and f. preserves more attractive); double production speed if gov=state property; GPP: +2 Engineer

enemy at the gates is a fantasy film
A great film though. Historic accuracy be damned. If I want accuracy I will get a text book.

Hmm should always make sure I am on the last page before posting :)

My votes:
The Sydney Opera House (Produce 2 happy faces and increase culture plus 30%)
The Leonardo's Workshop (I mist that XF over the units...)
The Sphinx (Increse 25% Culture)

Others:

Belém Tower (increase 20% over defence on Coastal Fortress and gain 2 free Frigates);
The Louvre (gain 25% on Culture and Science, and increase admiration over the others civs +1)
The Guggenheim Museum (of Bilbao) (gain 25% on Culture, plus 1 happy face on all citys)

I think a wonder that allowed your spies to steal the "instructions" to their UB or UU would be interesting......you would still have to plant a spy , pay for the mission etc but after that you could build their UB or UU

I voted other

I want the Louve to be in.

I think the Hermitage already covers the Louvre... the point is that it's your big art museum, meaning Metropolitan Museum of Art, Louvre, Hermitage, Rijksmuseum, National Gallery, etc.

With Corporate Sponsorship and excessive commercialism I would think that +1:commerce: or possibly +1:) would fit better...
i thought about how it could work in ancient times..
ok maybe +1:health: to colosseum and and +1:commerce: in the city (where this wonder built) per colosseum, a-la spiral minaret. available with radio.

The Colosseum in Rome!

The common city improvement should be an "arena" or "stadium". The Colosseum should be a world wonder.

Petra was an ancient city carved out of stone. Sure it's amazing, but it's a city, not a building.

Angkor Wat was a city as well.......

I disagree with you, Petra is actually among the seven world wonders, and should be included in the game as such.
I also suggest Abu Simbel.

I think the Hermitage already covers the Louvre... the point is that it's your big art museum, meaning Metropolitan Museum of Art, Louvre, Hermitage, Rijksmuseum, National Gallery, etc.

The Louvre is the most famous of the all world, not only because of the glass pyramid that shows where it is, but for it diversity culturar that holds inside.

So why not as a World Wonder?

Zenon: Fine, then rename the Hermitage the Louvre... I don't see any reason why one art museum should be such a unique achievement that no one else can have it.
