I'm waiting for response from VP guys, but as you said, gameplay functionality is the most important thing. Models can be fixed later.

This mod finally is successfully incorporated into More Wonders for VP modmod. It has fixed textures, icons, sv_icons and some new wonders as well.

I still need 3D artist guy to make further progress with models though...
