I got this e-mail today:

Mid-May my life was turned upside-down, and dealing with the situation is
still consuming virtually all my time and energy. While things has somewhat
stabilized, it looks like it's going to be months before I'll know if
things are even (G-d willing) repairable, let alone begin making repairs.
Ether way, the problems can easily drag on for a year or more.

As it stands now, I don't know when I'll again have the time necessary to
devote to resume playing.

Please extend my heartfelt apologies to all involved; there is little I
wouldn't do to avoid my current situation.

So our freind mep will not be continuing.Too bad.I hope whatever it is,can be worked out.
Anyway,I spose I'll just remove his results.Maybe it doesn't even matter as completion is beginning to look a little bleak.

Although I'm not involved in the competition I like to say the following.

I'm glad mep is still alive and able to communicate.
That he can't finish the chess competition is only a minor thing.

About the chess competition : I'm afraid it has been set up too ambitiously, but I hope you will find a solution for that.

Well its nice to see he is okay at least, it was quite worrying before. The tournamnet can carry on, but the next tournament should be a knockout tourny so that it doesn't matter if people don't appear as the opposition could just have a bye to the next round.

Good to hear that he´s more or less ok.

Concerning the minor issue here, our tourney, I seem to be the only one playing at least 1 move per day. But I would still find it a pity if we would simply disband it. We could still keep going.

Well we can at least keep it partly running, but there is no need for us to complete every single game as we can still create a results table. Also I am playing a move a day, except yesterday when the forums were down.

I intend to soldier on.I'm just waiting for a little catch up.I don't want to finish all my games way ahead of others.AND somehow I've managed to get involved in 5 games at once at RHP and it seems all I do is push wood around.I'm not even sure what season it is outside ..its hot so it must be summer
