Worker Actions cause CTD

So, I'm playing a new game. Get a little ways in. Send my first worker to make a farm. BAM! Crash to desktop. Load up the autosave. Again. Crash to desktop.

That save is the one labelled bug. Any worker action I did, I got CTD.

I suspected a memory leak. Rebooted. Got a little further. Again, I move a worker to "I"rrigate/create a farm. BAM! CTD. Very early in the game. Freshly rebooted. I don't get it.

This is NOT the first game I've played. I played a game on Noble, with very similar settings (same world size and number of opponents, for example) all the way to a successful completion around 1900 AD, with a ton more units and stuff.

Saves are attached. Is it my machine only or does it not work for others? To reproduce what I did, simply move the worker to any legitimate irrigation square and press "i" to try to make a farm. If the game doesn't crash to desktop, it's not reproducible.

I tried this, doesnt seem reproducible - loaded the first save game, moved the worker east out of moscow and irrigated that square, worked fine, few turns later I had a farm, no crash.

Tried it too, no crash.

However, I have a game that has been crashing to the desktop very frequently as well. Once when I tried to automate a worker, once when I tried to automate a work boat, and many times when I do anything with a missionary unit. Never had a problem in any other games, including one that went to 2050 with many automated workers.
