Workers stop work every turn?

Several of my workers stop what they're doing EVERY TURN. If I want a farm or mine built, I have to tell them each turn to continue working. If it takes four turns, I have to tell them four times to get it done.

Is this a known bug?

Are you playing the original (vanilla) version? If you are then it is a bug.

Yeah, playing vanilla. They never fixed the bug in vanilla? That would be a little offensive...

I prefer the Vanilla version to BNW, but stopped playing recently purely because of this game breaking bug. You sound as if you are playing quick speed, lucky for you because it gets more and more intolerable the slower the speed you play!

Normal speed, actually. Next game is likely to be marathon, but I just DLed the expansions last night.

Hi. I'm playing vanilla in 2016 and I see this is a confirmed bug since 2012.

If this bug is known for so long by Firaxis (as seen in the related Confirmed Bugs thread) and hasn't been fixed in 4 years except for patches behind paywalls (expansions, DLC, etc.), I am sad to feel just as screwed as I have with EA (left out of pay-to-win expansions in BF2), Ubisoft (PC tampered with low-level DRM) and Creative Assembly (screwed in pre-purchase with buggy release with Empire:TW, only to have the game replaced by similar Napoleon:TW rather than patched).

What's wrong with people these days? Where's Sid?
