Hey, howdy folks. I don't usually come over to CivFanatics, but I've heard this would be a good place to plug the World 2004 Demo Game. For those of you who don't know what World 2004 is (Most of you), World 2004 is an extremely realistic World Simulation with at least one hundred unique units (My bad, I forget the number, hehe), civilizations (Most current world powers, but you only get a certain amount, so some had to be combined, i.e. Germany and France, etc.), technologies (WELL into the future), and city improvments, including a whole slew of new improvements. It is incredibly well done and a huge improvement over World 2003, which some of you may know of. Basically, we're looking to start up a Democracy Game in a few weeks if we can get a reasonable amount of people to sign up for it. The site URL is:

www.mil-sim.net

When you get to the site itself, register, and PM me (elfangor801) on the site's system. I don't know how CivFanatic's stuff works yet, ;) . A copy of the scenario itself requires a subscription to the site, and you can look up the details of that when you are there.

Here's a sample tech tree:

Err, okay, my bad, this is the units list for World 2003. World 2004 has more then this, and the graphics are way better then in 2003.

Thanks to Maciek, Chris (.....), Kpimm, all the other editors who worked hard to make this scenario a success.

I could plug this awesome scenario all day long, but Stargate just started and I want to go watch that ;) . Best regards, elfangor. Sign up!

I'm playin the 2003 one ;) and I have a question... Is it possible to reduce the lag time in between turns by like "eliminating" some of the civs in the editor?

I don't have a club membership to world 2004, but this demogame is gonna be lots of fun. I recommend more people joining up! (btw, elfangor, I'm Awesome)

It's about the worst mod I've seen, simply because people obviously put a lot of effort into it.
How in such a well thought out mod can you have an error like each leaderhead being named Tony Blair? Or for that matter, allowing for the game to crash during loading, represented in the screenshot shown?
