World War 2 Mod the europe addition problem

Howdy all,

I have a problem with the Road to War mod and the europe map.

Every time i load the game it says Civ4 BTS Encounted a problem and needs to close.

I can play the mod ok its just when i'm trying to load the save.

I have got other saves for other mods and they work fine.

Any surggestions would be much appreciated

Also i have the latest patch installed, I'm using Vista 64Bit i have 4Gig of ram and Phenom 9600 processor. 9600GT graphics card.

Hi Jongley,

I *assume* this effect is occurring since install of 3.17 BtS patch? (It has happened to me, anyway).

Same deal, loading saved game will give me play screen, but no menus, or anything. Can play (blind) thru end of turn (hoping mini globe and menus "come back"), then black screen followed by crash to desktop?

Here is my fix (via trial and error, YMMV, but has worked for me):

Insteading of loading saved game directly from main menu, start an new game (i.e., scenario > road to war, etc.). Then, instead of taking a turn, load your saved game from within the scenario.

It seems to be that 'something' is broken when just trying to load from the main menu, but when starting a new scenario, the game engine (appears to) load/initialize correctly.

I "lost" half a dozen Road to War games before I stumbled on this fix. I guess "lost" is incorrect, as those saves still exist, just that I lose interest in games more than a couple days old.
