If you build 2 World Wonders in a city, what happens when you build a third? Does it have no benefit for the city? A negative effect? I have 2 WW in a city and now I a Great Prophet that can build a religious Wonder there like the Church of the Nativity. Will it be a waste? Or can I keep cramming them into my capital? I don't understand the limit the game puts on the # of WW's you can place in one city. Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks.

you can keep putting as many as you want if its a world wonder...however you can only have two national wonders.

Yup, what he said. :)
World wonders can be built only once in each game but you can build as many of them as you want in a single city. National wonders are available to all civs, so both you and everyone else gets a Heroic Epic for example. You can only put two national wonders in any given city, the rest have to go elsewhere.

Use the prophet to build a shrine, preferably the one for your state religion. This brings in gold from every city where the shrine's religion is present, so send missionaries to spread that religion as widely as possible.

Try to group Wonders with synergy if you can.
For Example, Great Lighthouse with Colossus.

Religious shrine, like the Church of the Nativity can only be built in the Holy City of that religion. It has no effect on what wonders, world or national, are there.
