I tried to find a similar topic but couldn't (but I can't find milk in the fridge either so...). My question is: in the games you have played, which AI civs seem to most often become epic runaways? And which ones tend to consistently get crushed? I don't have Korea yet, but mine:

Runaways: Catherine, Ramkhanghaeng, Harun Al-Rashid, Pachacuti

Crushed: Genghis Khan, Elizabeth, Washington

I find Hiawatha to be an effective expander. Spain was decent in my last game, but not a runaway. A long time ago (before lots of patches improved AI city defense), Caesar conquered about 3/4 of the globe. Siam would have done the same in another game, but I intervened. I haven't seen that in awhile.

Hiawatha has been one of the best ai civs in my games, always getting a lot of wonders (was the best in civ iv i think too). Nebuchadnezzar has also been one of few who have actually challenged me on prince (he was on another island). In my current game Inca managed to slinger rush one of my cities, haven't managed to get it back but I took one of their other less protected cities.

in the one game i had against siam they became the rival superpower against me germany can get pretty strong and so can mongolia if they are on a different continent. france may or may not and rome and greece usually get really strong

Suleiman, without a doubt. In nearly every game I have played against the Ottomans he ends up controlling 1/3rd of the map by the Renaissance unless I intervene. Not because of his army or tech, but because he insists upon spamming settlers every 3 turns or so. He ends up controlling an empire of unconnected, unimproved, level 1-4 cities in the most idiotic locations.

Suleiman's AI can be summed up in this equation:
Settlers + Empty Terrain = Cities.
Cities = Score.
Score = Win? (derp).

Also, the most easily crushed, would have to be Egypt or America. The other civs just love to gobble them up.

Hiawatha always stays until the late game for me. It's little weird seeing Hiawatha's battle ships and tanks.

Siam always disappear early for me.

Greece and Mongolia always expands fast. Don't let Alex get his hands on the nukes...He will abuse the heck out of it...I asked Alex to declare war against Hiawatha and next thing I saw, Hiawatha's lands were burning...and I was next.

Korea was normal. Peaceful country, until I told them not to expand near my city. :D

Ramkhanghaeng, Alexander are on the top of the list imho (I have no DLC).

Monty is crazy at first [like Monty, that's why we all like him ;-P], but usually backward some time after. I spot Monty and Alex on my continent in the last game, I was living in the endless war until they became my puppet-empire. That was crazy. :D

Rome may be quite powerful and annoying. According to my playstyle (as peaceful as possible running away in techs) any aggresive AI is some kind of challenge. I play almost always in marathon, so it is a lot of fun.

Yep, agreed, although Alexander would also be a runaway, and India would be a crushed, at least for me. As for Korea, since I played I would rate it an upper mid-tier civ that tends to runaway a bit, at least technology wise.
