worst mistakes

During a long war turn during modern times, I prepped a naval force to escort a transport carryingmy spanking new tank army. Moved about a billion other units. Then it was time to move the actual transport. I'd moved so many units in between I forgot it was the same turn and moved the transport into enemy waters, then went to get my escort and send them to the same square. But it was the same turn and all their movement points were used up.
I'll admit I reloaded about a dozen times until my transport finally survived the attack by an enemy ironclad.

Attacking Barbarians with my settler. :)

(Meaning moving besides them and then noticing that I just engaged them with a settler. Next turn the Barbarians accepted the gift. <g>)

Being in a really bad position (on Demigod or Deity, cannot remember), with my only chance resulting from owning (all)Ivory...and with 2 turns to go for the SoZ, I traded away one of them to Isabella since I badly needed some money.
Needless to say, next turn Spain cascaded into the Statue.. :wallbash:

In my last 5CC game on emperor, I beat England down and razed half their cities and forced a peace treaty with a bunch of free techs. For some reason I thought it would be smart to sign a MPP with England. Five turns later my 5 cities get dragged into a war against Spain, and five turns after that I'm forced into a war against Germany. Kind of weird since I usually play the English.

Heres what my freind used to say: "If at first you dont succed, load the game and try again".:goodjob:

NO, moral of the story...

you are both wrong. the moral is: don't mix your drugs.

seriously, what did you expect from indulging in four addictions simultaneously?
