Entries were down a bit this month. Was it because it was a tough game, or because of BTS? An example of how the limited entries affected things was with Cactus Pete getting both the gold medal, and the lowest-scoring domination award! In second, Grey Cardinal also got the cow, and Lexad got a nice spaceship award to go with his bronze.

Summary of Medal Winners:

...

I played until I had captured enough cities from Gengis and Alex to know that I would win the game. It was very fun up until then. After that I knew it was just a matter of building units, move them and defeat the other continent. I could not justify the real life time I would have to spend on that :( , so I prioritized SGOTM5 instead. Still, thanks for the map :goodjob:

Assuming anyone that was actually victorious would certainly submit, and there weren't many winners, and assuming those that were blown out might not bother submitting (or even finishing the game for a submission) out of frustration...maybe this one was a little too tough.

I certainly was for me! ;)

Yippee!! I won an award!:)

OK Red ambulance - not so good.:(

I had eagerly waited for ages to start this game as I'd had a hard drive failure. Bought a new drive then found that my Vanilla DVD had a crack so I couldn't reinstall.

When I got a new copy and installed all the right patches and Mods, I downloaded the file and got wiped out in record time. I'm surprised I made it to 35AD. It didn't feel that long... Such an anticlimax.

Congrats to the winners, especially our spikey champion Cactus Pete.

When I first met the advanced civs on the 2nd continent I wondered if anyone would get a military victory. I wonder exactly how much % of land was available on the homeland?

I'm very happy with my result. Managed to just keep up my record of getting a victory in each gotm I've played so far(since GOTM 17)!

I almost felt in touch with the big hitters in this one!

From the pre-game it looked like fun. Unfortunately I couldn't join as my Warlords copy won't update to 2.13. :( I might go and d/l the WBsave so I can play it for fun now. Congrats to the winners!

Similar story for me - I dominated enough of the home continent to be fairly confident of winning, but ran out of time and submitted an incomplete game.

Difficultly level was good for me though. Shame I couldn't submit - looks like there were a few medals going spare! :D

Congrats to winners! Frankly speaking, the low turnout was the only thing allowing me to get that high in score rank :)

Man, 1 step from WEptathlon - and the step is a cow... :vomit:

Well, I had loads of crashes, and out of frustration ended up declaring war with only half the units I needed, making the war quite decisive... in the wrong way :mischief:.

I didn't even retire, I unplugged the computer . There was no way the submission could have been accepted with so many crashes, and submitting a loss isn't exactly exciting. One less submission here...

I lost the game and still finished in the top 10

Nice job Lexad. I was going for space too, but would have finished well behind your mark even if I'd avoided my fatal mistakes.

Woo! I finished fourth ... from the bottom. Yay for me! :crazyeye: And yay for those who pulled off a victory in this one. Thanks very much to the staff of course.
