Would it be justified to conquer Liberia?

This is the worst thread I have ever done, including the segregation one.

Conquering Liberia sounds like an excellent attack plan from the perspective of the Ebola virus - I can't think of a better way to spread it to the US+friends, and from there the world! Plus it would be kind of ironic since we set that country up in the first place. We do need to make sure to get Madagascar in on this mission quickly before it closes down its ports.

President Madagascar!

The stupidity seeping out of that country is depressing. If a legitimate plague that spread quickly ever actually happens its pretty clear Africa is screwed.

When an entire society cannot care of itself, should the world powers take over and save their lives against their will?

Sounds like a thoroughly imperialist argument to me. The British and French of the late 1800's would most certainly approve of so noble a cause.

tl;dr: America, a culture in which people don't blink an eye to an interracial gay kiss, is ill-equipped to provide care for the thousands of dying Africans because we did bad things to them a hundred years ago.

The notion of responsibility to protect has paved many roads.

You think just Africa? Show me one western 1st world country where 'quarantine', also known as confinement of the sick for the greater good, stands any chance of working. As near as I can make out of ~320 million Americans the number willing to make a personal sacrifice for the greater good is fourteen.
