Would Y'all mind helping me with modding

Hi, and thanks in advance.

I'm new to modding Civ4, but I decided to give it a shot.

First thing I tried to do was add a leaderhead I downloaded a leaderhead and installed it according to this post

Now, I am trying to add this mod to BUFFY, so when it didn't work the first thing I did was to try to create the mod with just the leaderhead. No BUFFY. That didn't fix the problem, so there must have been something else I did wrong.

There's no error messages. My new leader has an entry in the pedia, but there's no pic next to the name and when I select the entry for the leader it's blank except for a gray rectangle where the pic should be.

I can put the new leader into a game, but as soon as I make contact I get a CTD.

Can anyone help me out? I'd greatly appreciate it!

The CTD happens because the game cannot find the LH graphics (which is why it also doesn't appear in the civilopedia), so it crashes when it tries to display it.

So the problem is likely in your XML\Art\CIV4ArtDefines_Leaderhead.xml file. Can you quote the entry for your LH here, as well as the folder that contains its graphics files?

Thanks for the response.

But I decided to go rogue and redid everything non-modular. Eventually I got it all working just fine.

I do appreciate the response though. I'm trying to teach myself how to do some coding in my down time and figured modding Civ4 would be a cool and fun project.

Some new leaderheads is the first of many changes I'd like to make to Civ4. I'm sure I'll screw something else up, and I'd appreciate any help you folks are willing to offer with that.
