Wow my computer is lucky!

Still, I think the exact percentage display could be replaced with a more abstract display of combat odds, like "BAD / FAIR / EVEN / GOOD / EXCELLENT". Maybe it's just me, but the exact percentages make the battles feel more like the number crunching they are rather than real combat between units.

What an EXCELLENT (or is it just 96%) idea!

Cheers.

Your not the first I lost when the computer had a 1.2 percent chance. Wish I had that kinda luck.:king:

Propabilities for that are
[(100-94.5)*(100-98.7)]/(100*100)
=7,15/10 000
=0,000715= 0,0715%
Assuming computer uses real odds.

I got a win at some phenomenally low %, something around 1% or 2%, maybe less . . . typical Trebuchet suicide, I was expecting to lose it, imagine my surprise when I won without a scratch. Hmm . . . crazy.

Theoretically, your chance of winning at 1% odds is the same as your chance of losing at 99% odds: both have been reported in this forum, but losing at 99% far more frequently.

There is a big true in these words.

Hmm a galley beating a battleship. Reminds me of the time in Civ 1 many years ago when an artillery attacked my settler and lost (I was still in the Bronze Age) or when an Ironclad attacked a militia in a city and lost.

I remember in Civ 1 there were different sounds if you unit won or died. Sometimes even nukes used to loose  At least they exploded anyway ;)
