It was probably doing a non destructive format. This supposedly only formatted the system files, but the last few times I tried it, it damaged enough of my non system files to require reinstalling the games. On some computers, you use F10 to get the format options.

http://bootdisk.com is a good site for creating boot disks.

Man, I can't stop raving about Necrofile. After I was sure my installation of Windows was satisfactory, I reinstalled a bunch of stuff, hit windowsupdate several times and ran spybot, adaware, etc, etc. I ran Necrofile again and freed up over another gig of space just because there was that much crap sitting around.

Sweet program!
