Wrong city take over

Hi,

Last night I was playing a game with a friend against 4 AI's. My friend was fighting far away in the North I was competing in the south with another AI. With lots of trouble I took over an AI City and guess what happened ....

*&#)*(&#$.., My friend became the owner of the city I captured ?? Is this a bug ? I have the strongest culture and religion in the game (same as the city I captured) and the units of my friend were far away...

Someone encountered the same problem ?? I am playing with the 1.52 patch

Are you playing as a team with your friend? There seem to be many problems with effects being inapproriately applied to the other members of a team. Is your friend close enough to the city to be able to culture flip it?

He isn't close enough for a culture flip because there is another culture between is. And we are not playing as friends. Not a team game. But we haven't got war as well (yet)
