WTH AI air campaign

I've been pulling my hair trying to make the AI attack me with air units in debug mode, so that I can test some things. I thought I had broken something because they were not doing air raids at all.

It turns out they will not bombard you until you come in contact with their borders. Maybe this issue is affecting other AI behaviors who knows. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

So annoying!!! I wonder if this has some effect to their use of captured artillery hmmm.

You mean they don't bomb you AT ALL? I wish my AI did the same ��

I agree with T-mun: My KI is also bombing me as soon as they have got their fingers on something flying (and being at war with me ).

Just as we speak, the Zulus bombing my cities and resourses after an illfated invasion by them (a lone Guerilla next to my main military base!), while my battle fleets are far from Zululand and my invasion fleet is still in port.

Luckily I was expecting an attack and had my Fighters allready on patrol over cities within range of the Zulu Airforce (avoiding the two-turns-until-ready-for-interception-delay).

EDIT: Just checked, our borders are unconnected and at the smallest gap two tiles apart from each other. So I am definitely not in contact with Shakas border yet and I have also not started my own bombing campaign (as my landbased bombers are still busy with the English and my carriers are still out of range).

Oh and yea by the way this happens if I make a quick scenario with 1 city, and a few bombers just to test stuff. In an actual game there is no issue, but I didnt wanna play a whole game just to test something out :/

You know there is something else bugging me. When you disable the 'immobile' flag from air units and they move freely, then get attacked by bombardment, they will be immune. If any other unit tries to occupy their square, the air unit will die regardless of stats. Havent found a fix yet.
