WW2 Scenario... Maginot Line

Well I started the earlier version of this scenario, took forever, bulding everything. And France has this... maginot line unit. I chose historical mode, so going thru the lowlands is not an option. Will an event happen as to where i can get though, or do I gotta "cheat" via worldbuilder to clear a path, or actually use bout 50 planes to lower the defenses of this unit?
 
Well in hisotrical mode, alliances are made, war is declared, etc. On the exact date (they use fortnights (2 weeks) at a time) that this happened. So Germany is thus neutral with them... I'm not at the invasion of France, I conquered poland in 3 turns, so some event may happen...
 
You'll declare war automatically on the Low Countries on the relevant date.

Or, as you say, blast the crap outa the line with bombers/arty. :)
 
I tried the WW2 mod for Warlords, but it took forever to load a turn, like 1-2 minutes already on the first turn. Is this mod just the same?

That's a completely different mod altogether. Different design team, different goals, different everything. :)

Road to War is only for BtS.
 
Yeah there's 2 start dates for europe (atlantic USA is included, and canada)

Then there's pacific... a lot of units after a while BUT VERY VERY fast loads... civ 3's old empires or age of imperialism feels so horrible these days...
