WW2 Unit Graphics

A mix of Fiats, Mercedes, Protze, Skoda and some home grown trucks. Oh, and of course good old Henry Ford sold V8s to both sides in the War while he and GM pretended that Ford in Europe and Opel were independent..

Yep! Ford - A true American giant, with his Red Eagle Order from Goring that he refused to hand back during WW2.
They don't tell you that fact in guided tours, I'll bet.

Couple of additions and tweaks:

Hi Fairline,

Thank you so much for this incredible collection of WWII units! Your overall contributions to the community over the years has helped so many designers fulfil the vision for so many of their scenarios and for my part is certainly one of the reasons I keep coming back to Civilization 2! :goodjob:

I may have missed it while I was compiling units for Hinge of Fate, but are there winter versions of the BT5, ISU152, and KV85 tanks below? If not, any chance of adding these please? They stand out a little with everything else in winter camo. Thank you!

Actually the ISU-152 you have there is a wintery one John. I've made a more distinct whitewashed version together with the BT-5 and KV-85 and a couple of others in the compilations attached above. Are there any other winterised versions you need for your scenario?

Thanks Yves, and it goes without saying that I keep making the units because you designers make excellent scenarios to use them in.

Thanks Fairline - I started working on this awhile back and didn't notice you'd already made these but I'll go through it. I don't think the US or Brits typically changed the coloration of their tanks in the winter, right? If so and it's just the Soviets/Germans, then these were the only ones I think I was missing.

@Fairline I beg pardon but is this the one you were talking about? I don't see the BT-5 or KV-85 in it? I do see that there is a summer/winter difference with the ISU-152.

Good stuff. The US and British very occasionally whitewashed their tanks, but you're right, it was mainly a Geman and Russian thing.

Excellent work G. I don't just mean the artistic skill. The dedicated research behind this and the attention to detail is amazing. This represents hours of work. Thank you.

This man is the irreplacable core of the Civ2 community. He'll be modest, but it's true.
