Wyrmshadow's Battleships

But I am - all those hybrids are butt ugly anyways... and they were all sunk, you know :mischief: aaaaall sunk.....

Wow. Are you sure that isn't British? It looks like it hit every branch In the continet-spanning redwood ugly forest.

Hmmm, well the Ise class derives from the Fuso class, which again derives from the Kongo class. Now the Kongos were designed by Britain's Sir George Thurston, and strongly influenced the design of the forthcoming Tiger-class battlecruisers (United Kingdom). Kongo was actually built by Vickers (and was the last Japanese capital ship to be built outside of Japan), while the remaining three were built in Japanese yards.

I just got a thing for these Hybrids though in the case of the Ise merely the rear suffered changes up to the rear fire control system, which had to give way to a tower on its starboard- compared to the Odin the changes were "small" (although I like the Odin worlds better)

The Kongo wasn't originally that ugly. The pagoda type structures came in later modernizations.

What's a "BBB"
BBH, for heavy Battleship, the Yamato.

Ive been busy today.
This is my take on the HMS Admiral Hood after an extensive latewar refit. Unfortunately it was sunk in 1941 chasing the Bismark. I added extensive AAA.

It was the largest warship in it's day @840 ft long.

It almost looks like the Vanguard... are you going to do a regular Hood too?
BTW it's name is just Hood, not Admiral Hood...

The reason it looks like the Vanguard is probaly because Wyrm used the same textures or just modded the Vanguard model.

Time for a freaking update. Not final form but you get the idea.

Graf Spee pocket battleship.

And the Scharnhorst but it's not final either.

I used the Blucher's hull. I guess I need to use the Bismark's instead?

Very nice models, Wyrmshadow... I'm really looking forward to them...

Yes, another one.
