A thing I noticed just by accident is that, when you scroll all the way out, you can see the map as a globe and turn the globe to see other parts of the world. Of course this applys only to global maps as has been mentioned.

It requires Calendar or Stonehenge in order to do that. But yeah, it's pretty cool.
